Climate change affects everyone in california. Climate change happens because we live in a house like planet and a thin layer is what protects us it doesn’t let anything in or out and more gases released in the air are trapped and helps trap the sun’s UV rays and makes it hotter we mess up the environment too not only for us but for the plants and animals, many animal species are affected for example many bird species need a specific temperature to survive and according to the national audubon society claimed 588 bird species are in trouble not only birds are affected many others are as well for example grey whales the beautiful sea otter loggerhead  sea turtle the majestic sea lion are all affected by the bad weather back in july 26 1994 los angeles suffered a bad smog attack smog is a term formed in London in the 1990s it is just smog and fog it happened in london because of soot and combustion of fuels but that was in london what happened in los angeles was different the smog created was because of chemical reactions that reacted with the sunlight when the sun makes a part of it it is called photochemical reaction this needed four components hydrocarbons oxygen nitrogen oxides and ultraviolet light it covered most of los angeles and made the sky orange smog is a way to show that the more we mess with the ozone layer the more we are trapping harmful uv rays and making the earth warmer some of the things that can be done are find out how big you carbon footprint is once you find out what it is you can then find out how to reduce it like using more energy efficient products the more you help the better america is the highest in trapping gasses with 5.6 tons that is double than the euroupan countries
